Monika Tiken: Gold (album release)
As always, Monika keeps it pure and pours it straight from the heart. A lovely moody mix of piano percussion and voice, it’s an album for relaxing and dreaming.

Monika Tiken: Time (single release)

The Swiss saxophonist, pianist, songwriter Monika Tiken, who is from Erlenbach, a village near Zurich, has an intriguing background having studied jazz and Moroccan music at the Berklee College of Music and also travelled to India to study the rich heritage of classical music of the country.
With a performance experience ranging from street shows in Europe/USA early on in her career to large stages such as the Afro Pfingsten Festival, Volkshaus Zurich or the Open Air Visp, Monika is at home on any stage and was recently invited to perform as a guest on a show at the Zermatt Unplugged Festival in the Swiss Alps.

Bea Kümin - vocals
The time is nigh for new music from Monika Tiken and to this end she has released a new single “Time”, a song that showcases her talents as a musician and songwriter and which comprises a series of vignettes ... stories of everyday people, underpinned by a driving jazz groove, soaring cello and Monika’s melodic, angular soprano playing.
The percussionist, Edwin Sanz (a member of the Steve Winwood touring group) defines a unique sound combining jazz swing with traditional percussion elements. Award-winning British/Swiss musician, Alex Wilson, guests on the track on piano and is co-producer.
